TX-AP Organisers and Funders

TX-AP is being organised by EngageMedia and ruangrupa.

EngageMedia is free software development, website, training and networking project based in Australia. EngageMedia produces the Plumi video sharing platform and runs the EngageMedia.org video sharing site. The website focuses on social and environmental issues in Southeast Asia, Australia and the Pacific.

In 2006 EngageMedia collaborated with Candida TV and Clearer Channel to put on the first Transmission meeting in Rome.

ruangrupa is an artists’ initiative founded in the year 2000 by a group of Jakarta based artists. ruangrupa is a non-profit organization which focuses on supporting the development of art in the cultural context through research, study and documentation, along with intensive cooperation with the artists through exhibitions, artist residency program, art projects and workshops.

ruangrupa organised the International OK Video Festival (an international biennal video art festival since 2003), the Jakarta 32 Degrees Festival (a biennal visual arts festival for university students in Jakarta since 2004), and various projects about urban life (Picnic, Men At Work, Let The Kids Play etc).
